An Afternoon of Parisian Glam

14-0615wassal-shower-002-1024x682

The Bridal Shower took place on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in June. Obsessed with Parisian culture, I have always been drawn to the elegance, romance, and sheer femininity that it exudes. I wanted to be sure to incorporate all the elements that I loved about the Parisian culture, rather than create the singular “Chanel” theme or gallery of pink and white Eiffel Towers.  My theme was “An Afternoon of Parisian Glam” using mint, purple and gold accents. As a passionate Laduree connoisseur, fashionista, and hopeless romantic, I was avid on having all the elements of current trends, morphed with classic pieces, to create an ambiance of timeless youth, lush with sophistication. My decor was exactly as I imagined, detailed and not overdone. I used my favourite flowers, lush purple peonies, roses, orchids, cala-lilys, tea roses and hydrangeas with gold, mint and purple accessories to complete the look.

I had the opportunity to work once again with my favourite Cake Designer, Fine Cakes By Zehra, who understood and translated my vision and created a scrumptious dark chocolate and pistachio cake and delicious French macarons, elcairs, cake pops and more! (you need to check her out, she is simply amazing!!!) & special thanks to my friends at Derwish Catering for the mouth-watering lunch!

Being the fashionista I am, I had to have something original and designed just for me, for my special day. I have always had a slight obsession with feathers and an adornment for lace. I presented this idea to my go-to dress designer Rahima, from Farzam designs and she created a knee length lace and feather ensemble with a sexy nude lining.

Who better to capture this special day, than the talented Danijela from Danijela Weddings.

I met Danijela last summer when we worked on a very special bride, who had a stunning rustic chic themed intimate wedding at the super cool Storys Building downtown Toronto. (Which reminds me I should share her photos on the blog too!) Her photos capture the exact feelings I wanted to have photographed from my bridal shower, and she did just that. (Thank you!!)

A special thank you to my wonderful bridesmaids and best friends, and extra thank you to my family, you girls really know how to make a girl feel special.

Decor, floral and concept by yours truly, Petals and Pearls.

Hope you love it!!! :)

Asking questions are genuinely fastidious thing if you are not understanding something entirely, except this piece of writing offers pleasant understanding yet.|

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!|
